Surfing in Mount Lavinia
- Some waves can be surfed at any time of year in Sri Lanka. This experience includes the board and a briefing.
- Alternatively, Skimboarding or skimming is a board sport in which a skimboard is used to glide across the water’s surface to meet an incoming breaking wave and ride it back to shore. Wave-riding skimboarders perform a variety of surface and air manoeuvres at various stages of their ride out to and back with the wave.
- The season for this activity in Mount Lavinia is between November and April. If you wish to experience it during the other months, kindly contact us.
