The itinerary

Day 01

Cotopaxi National Park Trek to the Refuge and Glacier

Pick up from your hotel at 8:00 am and drive toward the volcano area. This journey takes around 2 hours to reach the gate of Cotopaxi National Park.
Stop at the interpretation area, located at 3,600 metres above sea level, and continue toward a small lake nearby.
Make another stop at 3,880 metres above sea level and enjoy a short walk before driving to the parking lot at 4,580 metres above sea level.
Climb up to the refuge at 4,864 metres above sea level. Here, take a short break to eat and relax before continuing the ascent toward the glacier at 5,000 metres above sea level.
Hike back down to the parking lot area.
Drop off at your hotel.
