Day 01
Jaipur to Bharatpur, Fatehpur Sikri and Chand Baori
- Guests will be picked up from their desired place in Jaipur and head first to Keoladeo Ghana National Park.
- Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary: Famous for Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to an astonishing range of flora and fauna.
- Arrive in Bharatpur and tour Keoladeo Ghana National Park by taking a rickshaw ride through the sanctuary.
- An abundance of birdlife can be found here, including the open-bill and painted stork, egret, darter, white ibis, spoonbill, grey heron, Sarus crane, cormorant, migratory geese, duck, rosy pelican, and the rare Siberian crane.
- Then head to Fatehpur Sikri.
- Fatehpur Sikri: The dynastic architecture of Fatehpur Sikri was modelled on Timurid forms and styles.
- The city was built on a massive scale, primarily with red sandstone, reflecting the popular Indian domestic architecture of the time, which was both Hindu and Muslim.
- The remarkable preservation of these original spaces allows modern archaeologists to reconstruct scenes of Mughal court life and better understand the hierarchy of the city's royal and noble residents.
- It is accessed through gates along the 8 km-long fort wall.
- Then head to Chand Baori.
- Chand Baori: Chand Baori is a stepwell built over a thousand years ago in the Abhaneri village of Rajasthan.
- It is one of the world's most significant stepwells and one of the most beautiful.
- Located in the eastern part of Rajasthan, it was built by King Chanda sometime in the 9th century.
- Chand Baori is not an easy landmark to find; thus, it remains one of India's hidden secrets.
- Stepwells, also called Baori, are unique to this nation. These wells have steps built into the sides that lead down to the water.
- After completing this day tour, guests will be dropped off at their desired place in Jaipur.
