Day 01
Jaipur Pickup, Chand Baori, Bharatpur and Fatehpur Sikri to Agra
- The guests will be picked up from Jaipur at their desired place and go to Chand Baori first.
- Chand Baori is a stepwell built over a thousand years ago in the Abhaneri village of Rajasthan. It is one of the world's largest stepwells and one of the most beautiful ones. Located in the eastern part of Rajasthan, it was built by King Chanda sometime in the 9th century. Chand Baori is not an easily accessible landmark; thus, it remains one of India's hidden secrets. Stepwells, also called Baori, are unique to this nation. These wells have steps built into the sides that lead down to the water.
- Then, drive to Bharatpur, famous for Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to an astonishing range of flora and fauna. Arrive in Bharatpur and tour Keoladeo Ghana National Park by taking a rickshaw ride through the sanctuary. An abundance of birdlife can be found here, such as the open-bill and painted stork, egret, darter, white ibis, spoonbill, grey heron, Sarus crane, cormorant, migratory geese, duck, rosy pelican, and the rare Siberian crane. Then head to Fatehpur Sikri.
- The dynastic architecture of Fatehpur Sikri was modelled on Timurid forms and styles. The city was built on a massive scale, primarily with red sandstone. Its architecture reflects the Hindu and Muslim domestic styles popular in India. The remarkable preservation of these original spaces allows modern archaeologists to reconstruct scenes of Mughal court life and better understand the hierarchy of the city's royal and noble residents. It is accessed through gates along the 8 km-long fort wall.
