This walking and transit tour is dedicated to exploring downtown Toronto and helping you get familiar with the city. Along the way, you'll pass restaurants, sculptures, and monuments, and step inside some buildings that blend classic and modern architecture. You'll also soak up Toronto's history, hear stories about the people who helped shape the city, and learn how to use the TTC. I will also share my own experiences of growing up in the city.

The itinerary

Day 01

Meet at Your Hotel or Preferred Location

To start the tour, I will meet you at your hotel, Airbnb, or any other place you find convenient.

Day 02

Entertainment District and Financial Core

We will see the CN Tower and the skyscrapers that incorporate both classic and modern architecture, as well as walk the PATH, the world's largest underground mall, which connects much of downtown Toronto. Canada Walk of Fame is dedicated to Canadian celebrities. We will also check out the world-famous theatres in the Entertainment District.

Day 03

Historic Old Toronto and St. Lawrence Market

We will stop at St. Lawrence Market to try Canadian flavours such as maple butter tarts, then pass the Flatiron Building, Berczy Park, which has gone to the dogs, and St. James Cathedral.

Day 04

Explore the Distillery District

Formerly the home of the Gooderham & Worts Distillery, this is now one of the places to be in Toronto, with year-round festivities, the Mill Street Brewery, art galleries, and cafes.

Day 05

Yonge-Dundas Square and City Hall

Toronto's Times Square is right across from the Eaton Centre, where the Hudson's Bay Company, one of North America's oldest corporations, is located. We will also stop by Nathan Phillips Square at Toronto City Hall for a photo opportunity with the Toronto sign.

Day 06

Queen Street West and Graffiti Alley

On Toronto's hippest street, we will pass the Citytv building, head down Graffiti Alley, and maybe do some shopping.

Day 07

Chinatown and Kensington Market

Canada's largest Chinatown, next to the vibrant Kensington Market, has still preserved its charm.

Day 08

Yorkville and Toronto Music History

Also known as the Mink Mile, Yorkville was where the Toronto hippie movement took place in the 1960s and 1970s, and where great Canadian musicians like Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, and Joni Mitchell got their start. You can also climb the Canadian Shield.

Day 09

Return to Your Hotel or Preferred Drop-off

At the end of the tour, I will drop you off at your hotel, Airbnb, or any other place you find convenient.
