Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

   • You will be welcomed by our company representative who will brief you about our 9 days Uganda Safari and then head to Murchison Falls National Park.
   • You will have a stopover in Nakasongola at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking.
   • Then head for Lunch in Masindi, after lunch drive straight to the booked accommodation and rest.

2. Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

   • Early morning breakfast, then head out for a game drive and you will have a chance to spot different wild species which include Buffalos, giraffes, leopards, elephants, kobs, hyenas among others.
   • After lunch, you will go for a spectacular boat cruise on the great Nile River.
   • You will sight water animals like hippos, crocodiles, elephants having baths and water birds which include secretary bird, herons, and fish eagle among others.
   • Take pictures during the beautiful sunset and head back to the accommodation and retire.

3. Day 3: Hike to the Top of the Falls and Transfer to Kibale National Park

   • You will have your early morning breakfast and then head to the top of the falls.
   • While at the top of the falls, you will appreciate the beauty and magnificence of the Murchison Falls.
   • After the falls, you will drive straight to Kibale National Park.
   • During the drive, you will be amazed by the incredibly scenic views.
   • On your way, you will have a lunch stopover and also photography at the Ugandan Equator.
   • Upon arrival, you will head to your booked accommodation and rest.

4. Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Visit to Bigodi

   • After your morning breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for a briefing before you head to the rainforest for chimpanzee tracking.
   • You will join the group of 6 and wait until the Chimpanzees are found which takes 2 to 6 hours and then you will be given one hour to learn more about their behaviors.
   • After lunch, you will move out to Bigodi wetlands.
   • These wetlands boast an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primate species like the white and black colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, baboons among others. It is also a bird paradise.
   • Head back to the accommodation and rest.

5. Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Evening Game Drive

   • Early Morning Breakfast and then head to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
   • You will have a lunch stopover and drive straight to the Park. It’s a 2-3 hour drive and on arrival, you will head to your booked accommodation.
   • In the evening, you will head out for an evening game drive where you will sight buffaloes, lions, elephants, kobs, hyenas, and leopards among others.

6. Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

   • You will have an early morning breakfast start your day with the morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and be on the look for buffaloes, lions, elephants, kobs, hyenas, and leopards among others.
   • In the evening, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel which links Lake George and Lake Edward.
   • As you’re enjoying the breeze, you will spot elephants taking a bath, giant water hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes gaping along the banks.
   • With your binoculars, you will have a magnificent view of birds and other wildlife species.
   • Return to your accommodation and rest.

7. Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

   • Enjoy a relaxed morning breakfast and then head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
   • You will travel through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park which is famously known for the climbing lions.
   • Sighting them is picturesque and memorable, on arrival head to your booked accommodation and rest.

8. Day 8: Gorilla Tracking and Cultural Encounters

   • After breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for briefing and in groups of 8 individuals from 15 years and above, you will head out to the jungle.
   • The tour guides will go before you and allocate the Gorillas and if they are found you will spend one hour with them at a distance of 10 meters.
   • Have lunch in the jungle and in the evening head out for cultural encounters with the Batwa guides who will provide insights to the tourists about the traditional forest life before they were evicted from the forest and their culture, demonstrate how grass-thatched houses were constructed, showcase traditional herbs that were used to cure diseases, make fire using sticks among others.
   • Head to your accommodation, have dinner and rest.

9. Day 9: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

   • Relaxed morning breakfast, head to Entebbe International Airport.
   • You will have a lunch stopover and also stop at the equator in Kayabwe-Masaka for photography and buying crafts.
   • Continue with the journey to Entebbe International Airport.
   • And that will be the end of the 9 days Uganda Safari.
