Manasija Monastery, Resava Cave and Lisine Waterfall

  • Belgrade (Pass By)

The tour begins with a drive through hills whose green scenery will prepare you for the wonder of the Resava Gorge.

  • Manasija Monastery

Discover the gemstones of Mother Nature and the medieval culture in the flourishing Resava Valley.

The tour continues through the Resava Gorge, where the medieval Manasija Monastery complex is located.

Mighty towers from the 15th century will inspire deep respect for the treasure they protect.

This complex, with its magical atmosphere, was built by one of the most respected rulers in Medieval Europe, who was also one of the 21 nobles in the Order of the Dragon.

His idea was to create a stronghold that would serve as the religious and cultural seat of the medieval Serbian state, together with the Church of Saint Trinity and the school and library of the Resava Scriptorium.

Although this monastery was destroyed a couple of times, you can still enjoy its preserved floor mosaics, wall frescoes, and architectural elements, which represent a true rarity in Serbian medieval architecture and old Serbian art.

  • Resava Cave

To gain a broader view and discover the beauty of nature, we take you to Resava Cave, which was discovered not long ago and holds the title of one of the most interesting caves in Serbia.

The maze of Resava Cave, covering an area of 11 hectares, promises an unforgettable experience.

Its cave formations have been shaped over 45 million years, while its galleries maintain a constant temperature of 7°C and humidity between 80 and 100 percent.

All of this is why Resava Cave is protected by the State and listed among the most beautiful caves in the region.

We will take care of you and make sure you feel safe and secure while exploring this remarkable creation of nature.

  • Waterfall Veliki Buk

After the chilly cave, you can freely take off your jacket, which is mandatory for cave sightseeing, and enjoy the freshness of the splashing Lisine Waterfall.

It represents a unique phenomenon among Serbia's accumulative tufa waterfalls. With its power and 25-meter height, it is absolutely breathtaking.

You will be able to enjoy the crystal-clear water views and nature's peaceful sounds.

For those who want to combine nature and culture, this is a remarkable experience in the Resava region.

  • Lisinski raj - restaurant

You have also just discovered the best lunch spot.

Enjoy savouring delicious food with fresh trout from the local pond.
