The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in San Pedro and Valle de la Luna Sunset

Transfer from Calama Airport to San Pedro de Atacama.
Valle de la Luna at sunset is an unforgettable experience and a wonderful way to begin this dream program in the driest desert in the world.
We will leave San Pedro at around 4:30 p.m. to tour the area and wait for the sunset at a spot chosen by the team in charge of the excursion.
Return is to the door of your accommodation.

Day 02

Chaxa Lagoon and the Highland Lagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques

Located 50 km from San Pedro and 2,400 meters above sea level, Chaxa Lagoon is a must-see in San Pedro de Atacama and in the Los Flamencos National Reserve. It offers an impressive panoramic view of the Cordillera de los Andes and is home to a large population of flamingos that bring life to one of the most magical spectacles you can observe.
After visiting Chaxa, we will continue to another magical place in the desert, at more than 4,500 meters above sea level, to observe the highland lagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques. Located at the foot of the Andes and more than 150 km from San Pedro de Atacama, this area allows you to observe the local flora and fauna.
The excursion begins at 08:30 a.m., departing from your accommodation and returning at around 4:30 p.m.

Day 03

Laguna Cejar and an Astronomical Tour

Laguna Cejar at 15:00 and Astronomical Tour at 19:40.
Laguna Cejar is located in the middle of the Salar de Atacama, about 26 km from San Pedro de Atacama, and is one of the most visited attractions in the Chilean highlands. Its high concentration of salt allows visitors to float easily in its dense waters, making this a relaxing activity in an unparalleled setting.
This tour begins at 3:00 p.m. with departure for Cejar. Once this visit is over, we continue to one of the most incredible and significant attractions of the desert: the Astronomical Tour.
The sky of San Pedro de Atacama is one of the clearest in the world due to the low concentration of humidity, allowing wide, cloudless views practically all year round. This excursion is led by a guide specialized in astronomy, who seeks to connect the traveler with the ancient cultures of the desert and their relationship with the stars.
This excursion ends at approximately 11:30 p.m. in San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 04

Tatio Geysers at Dawn and Departure to Calama

Tatio Geysers from 05:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Tatio Geysers are part of a geothermal field of volcanic origin and are located at more than 4,200 meters above sea level.
This excursion begins early in the morning to better observe the condensation of water when it comes into contact with the atmosphere in one of the most important geothermal fields in the world.
It includes breakfast on board and begins at 05:30 a.m., returning at around 11:30 a.m. to San Pedro de Atacama to complete the 4-day program, followed by a private transfer back to Calama Airport.
All tours include food depending on the time and duration of the excursion, such as breakfast, lunch, and cocktails.

Know before you go

Transfer in must be in the morning or the day before starting the program, considering that the distance from Calama Airport to San Pedro de Atacama is 90 km (approximately a 1 hour 30 minute drive).
Transfer out is after the last excursion, so your flight cannot be before 15:30 hrs in order to avoid any risk of missing it.
