Day 01

Sepilok Wildlife Centres and Rainforest Canopy Walk

• Pick up from your hotel or Sandakan airport.
• Start the day at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, where orphaned and injured orangutans are rehabilitated and prepared for life back in the wild. Enjoy a walk through the rainforest on wooden boardwalks to observe these amazing animals in their natural environment and witness their morning feeding session.
• Continue to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, one of the best places to encounter Borneo's proboscis monkey. As you wait for the proboscis monkeys, other animals such as squirrels, silver leaf monkeys, and oriental pied hornbills may also approach the feeding platform.
• Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) to see this little-known bear species. It is named after the golden crescent-shaped patch of fur on its chest, which resembles the rising sun. Established in 2008, the BSBCC is the world's only sun bear conservation centre. It aims to rehabilitate rescued sun bears and increase awareness of these lovable bear species.
• Head to the nearby Rainforest Discovery Centre and explore the canopy walkway, nestled high among the rainforest treetops. It is an excellent opportunity to spot 250 bird species and maybe even a wild orangutan.
• Transfer back to your hotel or Sandakan airport. End of service.
