Day 01

Peja Bazaar and Saturday Cheese Market

  • The old bazaar in Peja is known as the oldest bazaar in the country.
  • Many shops sell different clothes and shoes, jewelry made of gold and silver, and more.
  • The cheese market is especially well known, as every Saturday villagers come from different places to sell original milk products.

Day 02

Visit the Historic Bajrakli Mosque

  • The Bajrakli Mosque is the main mosque situated in the center of the Bazaar of Peja.
  • It was built in 1471 by Sultan Fatih Mehmet Hani.
  • The mosque is an Ottoman-style single-domed mosque with the oldest and highest dome in the city.

Day 03

Ethnological Heritage at the Museum of Peja

  • Tahir Bey Inn, where the Ethnological Museum is now located, is an old town house dating to the second half of the 18th century.
  • This house is also quite interesting for its preservation of archaic elements.
  • The interior is almost untouched, and as a result, the house is an object of cultural significance in both architectural and ethnological terms.
  • Additionally, the museum displays over 120 exhibits illustrating the culture and traditions of this country.

Day 04

UNESCO-Protected Patriarchate of Peja

  • At the entrance to Rugova is the Patriarchate of Peja.
  • The monastery is located on the edges of an old Roman and Byzantine Siperant.
  • The monastery complex, consisting of four churches, three of which are connected as one whole, was built in the first third of the 13th century, specifically in 1321-24 and 1330-37.
  • It has been protected by UNESCO since 2003, and for more than 300 years it was protected by a Rugova family bearing the title "voivode".

Day 05

Scenic Rugova Canyon

  • Rugova Canyon, or Rugova Gorge, is a river canyon near Peja in western Kosovo, in the Albanian Alps.
  • With a length of 25 km (16 mi) and a depth of up to 1,000 meters, Rugova is considered one of Europe's longest and deepest canyons.
  • It was created by water erosion and the retreat of the Peja glacier.
  • There are a few waterfalls and many water springs, such as Uji i Zi (Black Water) and Kroi i km-5 (5th Km Spring).
  • In the sixth kilometer of the canyon, there is a 25-meter-high (82 ft) waterfall that springs out from the cliffs on its southern side and drops to the river.
  • Many hundreds of caves are found in the gorge, with most of them still unexplored.

Day 06

Sleeping Beauty Cave Adventure

  • Beneath the surface of the Albanian Alps lies a wonderful and magical subterranean world abundant with unusual sculptures, decorations, and animals.
  • Part of this world is Sleeping Beauty Cave, a network of tunnels, galleries, and corridors sculpted by the natural force of water over centuries, located in White Drini National Park.
  • With the help of a guide, you can enjoy about 250 meters of visitor path through 4 galleries with discreet lighting.
  • Not far from the cave, above the surface, you can find the White Drini spring and admire the biggest waterfall (32 m high and about 35 cubic meters per second) not only in Kosovo but in the region as well.
  • The adventure part can last about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and we provide equipment.
