4-Day Amazon Rainforest Adventure from Iquitos with Lodge Stay

Depart from Iquitos and travel 70 kilometers (approximately 2 hours) up the Amazon River. You will arrive at the Amazon Eco Lodge, located on the banks of the Rio Tushpa, a small Amazon tributary. During the trip, you will have the opportunity to see spectacular scenery along the mighty river, and to observe how local people make a living along the Amazon.

Upon arrival at the lodge, you will have a brief orientation with your guide and have lunch.

Set out for an afternoon excursion. Your guide will show you the local flora and fauna and teach you about the medicinal plants of the rainforest.

Have dinner at the lodge and set off to enjoy a night time excursion to spot insects, amphibians, and nocturnal animals.

Watch birds along the river in the early morning.  Enjoy an Amazon sunrise while you are here.

Have breakfast in the lodge, followed by a jungle hike to look for sloths, iguanas, monkeys and many other creatures of the jungle.

Have lunch in the lodge followed by a cruise along the Amazon River by peke-peke boat to spot pink and gray river dolphins.

After dinner, we will go for Caiman spotting (alligators) along the river!

After breakfast, visit a local Amazon village community to learn about the culture and lifestyle of the local people of the rainforest. You will learn how they live and work, which includes fishing, growing papayas, bananas, manioc and other typical products of the region.

Hike to a nearby local lake to see the giant lily pads “Victoria Regia” and search for animals and birds in this area.

Upon returning to the lodge, you will have an opportunity to enjoy a beautiful Amazon sunset.

Go to the beautiful remote jungle and Oxbow lake to enjoy the remarkable biodiversity of this area.

Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the morning at the lake, relishing the beauty and serenity of the area.

Piranha fishing is the highlight of the day.

Once in Iquitos, you will be transported to your hotel or the Airport.
