Itinerary

1. Day 1: Iquitos to Rio Tushpa

   • Day 1 Depart from Iquitos and travel 70 kilometers (approximately 2 hours) up the Amazon River to Amazon Eco Lodge, located on the banks of the Rio Tushpa, a small Amazon tributary. During the trip, you will have the opportunity to see the spectacular scenery along the mighty river and to observe how local people live and make a living along the Amazon.

   • Arrive at the lodge, after which there will be a brief orientation with your guide.  

   • Enjoy lunch and then an afternoon excursion to show you the local flora and fauna and teach you about the medicinal plants of the rainforest.

   • After dinner in the lodge, enjoy a nighttime excursion to spot insects, amphibians and nocturnal animals.

2. Day 2: Birdwatching, Canoeing, Pink Dolphins and more

   • Day 2 Enjoy bird watching along the river in the early morning, and then witness a spectacular Amazon sunrise.

   • Have breakfast in the lodge.

   • Have breakfast in the lodge, followed by a jungle hike to look for sloths, iguanas, monkeys and many other jungle creatures in the afternoon.

   • After lunch, Go on a cruise along the Amazon River in a peke-peke boat to spot pink and grey river dolphins.

   • After dinner in the lodge, you can engage in caiman (alligators) spotting along the river.

3. Day 3: Visit to Local Amazon Village

   • Day 3 After breakfast, get ready for for a sightseeing activity, followed by a piranha fishing.

   • After lunch, prepare for the return trip to Iquitos. Once in Iquitos, be transported to your hotel or the Airport.
