- Orthodox Christianity is practiced in Georgia, so certain guidelines must be followed when entering churches.
Women's attire restrictions:
- Prohibited clothing:
  - Trousers, shorts, short skirts, or bare shoulders are not permitted.
- Attire recommendations:
  - Women should wear long skirts or wrap a large scarf around themselves. Many churches provide wraparound dresses to borrow.
- Head covering:
  - Women must cover their heads with a scarf upon entering a church.
Recommendation for women:
- It is advisable for women to carry 1 or 2 scarves to ensure hassle-free entry into churches in Georgia.
Men's attire restrictions:
- Prohibited clothing:
  - Men are prohibited from wearing shorts or exposing bare shoulders.
- Required attire:
  - Full-length trousers and covered shoulders are mandatory. Failure to comply may result in denial of entry or the need to wear a wraparound dress.
- Hat etiquette:
  - Men should remove any type of hat before entering a church.
Metekhi Church:
- Built in the 6th century.
- Erected by King Vakhtang I Gorgasali.
- Symbolizes the temple of the Virgin Mary in Jerusalem's Garden of Gethsemane.
Narikala Fortress:
- Also known as Shuris-tsikhe.
- Its walls date back to the 4th century, when it was originally a Persian citadel.
- Most of the walls were built in the 8th century by Arab emirs.
- It is referred to as the "Mother Fortress" in Georgian sources.
Abanotubani (Sulphur-bath district):
- The oldest district of Tbilisi.
- Named after baths built on natural hot mineral waters.
- These waters have been known since ancient times.
Sioni Cathedral:
- Includes a fence, the Cathedral of the Assumption, and two bell towers.
- Its name is derived from a sacred mountain in Jerusalem, meaning "sunny."
- It has significant historical importance.
Gabriadze Theatre and Clock Tower:
- The first Georgian puppet theater in Tbilisi, built in 1981.
- Known for its individual architecture.
- The clock tower, built in 2010, features a golden angel that rings a bell every hour and hosts the puppet show "Circle of Life" twice daily.
Anchiskhati Cathedral:
- A three-nave basilica dating back to the 6th century.
- The oldest church in Tbilisi.
- Connected with the icon of the Savior from Anchi Monastery in South Georgia, which arrived in 1664.
- The icon was carved by Beka Opizari and is currently kept in the Georgian National Museum.
