Day 01

Arrival in Tashkent and City Highlights

  • Arrival in Tashkent, the capital city.
  • Visit Independence Square and Chorsu Bazaar.
  • Explore the Hast Imam Complex and Kukeldash Madrasah.

Day 02

From Tashkent to Khiva's Ichan-kala

Start a walking excursion in the historical part of Khiva - Ichan-kala (translated as "Inner Town"). Ichan-kala is the largest open-air museum in Central Asia and consists of:

  • Ata-Darvaza and Kunya-Ark
  • Madrassah of Muhammad Rahim Khan
  • Madrassah of Muhammed Aminhan
  • Kalta Minor and the Palace of Allakulihan Khan of Khiva
  • Tash Hauli, where the harem of 40 concubines was located
  • Caravanserai and Tim Allakulihan
  • Pahlavan Mahmud Gates, the Mausoleum of Seyd Allaudin, and Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum

Day 03

Across the Kizil Kum Desert to Bukhara

  • Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bukhara (450 km) by coach through the Kizil Kum desert.
  • On the way, stop on the bank of the Amudarya River for photos.
  • Arrival in Bukhara and accommodation at the hotel.

Overnight in Bukhara.

Day 04

Bukhara's Silk Road Treasures

  • Journey to Bukhara, another Silk Road gem.
  • Discover the Ark Fortress, Kalon Minaret, and Po-i-Kalyan Complex.
  • Stroll through the streets of Old Bukhara and visit local craft centers.
  • Continue exploring Bukhara: Samanid Mausoleum and Chor Minor.
  • Visit Lyab-i-Hauz Complex and indulge in local cuisine.

Day 05

Gijduvan Ceramics and Aydarkul Yurt Camp

  • Visit the Gijduvan workshop of the famous Uzbek pottery master Abdulla Narzullayev in Gijduvan city. You can learn how ceramics are made there and participate in a masterclass painting ceramic plates.
  • See Rabat-I Malik and sardoba.
  • Aydarkul is a unique place called "The Blue Pearl," a beautiful lake in the Kizil Kum desert famous for its breathtaking landscapes, abundance of fish, and relaxing atmosphere. The camp offers a camel or horse ride, a trekking tour in the surroundings, or fishing, on request.
  • Arrival at the yurt camp. Camp-style lunch and dinner near the campfire are accompanied by Akyn's songs. You can listen to national Kazakh songs played on the string instrument dombra. Overnight in the yurt.

Day 06

From Nurata to Samarkand

  • Camp-style breakfast.
  • Morning at leisure in the yurt camp.
  • At 11:00, transfer to Samarkand, en route enjoying beautiful views and scenes of local life.
  • Arrival in Samarkand. Transfer to the hotel.
  • Resting time in the evening.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07

Samarkand's Historic Monuments and Bazaar

  • Explore more of Samarkand: Afrosiab Museum and the Tomb of Daniel.
  • Visit the Siab Bazaar and local artisans' workshops.
  • Travel through Samarkand, an ancient city on the Silk Road.
  • Discover Registan Square, Shah-i-Zinda, and Ulugh Beg Observatory.
  • Visit the Bibi-Khanym Mosque and Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum.

Day 08

Konigil, Wine Tasting, and Train to Tashkent

  • Visit the oriental market, Siyob Bazaar.
  • Drive to Konigil Village, near Samarkand, to visit a private factory manufacturing silk paper using 10th-century technology.
  • Visit the Samarkand factory of wine products for a tasting of Samarkand wines, cognac, balsam, and Cahors.
  • At 16:30, transfer to Samarkand Railway Station and depart for Tashkent by the high-speed train "Afrosiyob".
  • Arrive in Tashkent, meet at the railway station, and transfer to a restaurant for dinner.
  • Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Overnight in Tashkent.

Chimgan Mountains and Charvak Lake

  • Transfer to the Chimgan Mountains area, 120 km from Tashkent. En route, enjoy picturesque views of the beautiful mountains and the life of local people. The Chimgan Mountains offer seasonal outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, and mountaineering.
  • Enjoy the Chimgan cable-way ride or visit the Amirsoy complex.
  • Charvak Lake offers fresh air, beautiful nature, and the stunning scenery of the Chimgan Mountains.

Departure from Tashkent

  • Depart from Tashkent with cherished memories of magical Uzbekistan.
