Day 02

NEOM, Maqna Beach, and Ain Musa

  • Breakfast, then depart from Tabuk.
    • Starting from Tabuk, visit the distinctive landmarks on an unforgettable tour. The destination is about 152 km away.
  • Visit the caves of Shuaib.
    • This is an exploratory tour in an area of archaeological civilization and rock carvings, preserving the relics of a nation that lived before AD. The tombs are carved into the rocks and decorated with ornaments similar to the facades of the Nabataean shrines found in Al-Hijr (Mada'in Saleh). It was an ancient oasis where God sent His Prophet, Shuaib, to his people.
  • Visit Maqna Beach.
    • A tour of Maqna Beach, which attracts many lovers of marine activities, allows you to enjoy the beauty of its bays, the colour gradations of its sandy formations of fine and small pebbles, the diversity of its marine environment, and the clarity and depth of its waters, which contain coral gardens. Around them, you will also see marine creatures in their beautiful colours.
  • Lunch.
    • Enjoy an authentic traditional Saudi meal served to a high standard.
  • Visit Ras Sheikh Humaid.
    • Ras Sheikh Hamid lies between the beginning of the Gulf of Aqaba and the end of the Red Sea. It is located west of the islands of Tiran and Sanafir and west of the Straits of Tiran.
  • Visit the Catalina Seaplane Wreck of 1960.
    • In the Ras Sheikh Hamid area, the Catalina, an American-made amphibious aircraft, met its end. Its wreckage has remained there for nearly 57 years, raising questions about why this plane was in such a remote place and what happened to its passengers. Why did they come to this area? Some say it arrived secretly, while others say it is a relic of World War II.
  • Visit Ain Musa, "Moses's water spring."
    • Enjoy a tour exploring the water springs, or as the people of the region call them, the springs of Moses, where the people of the Prophet Moses, peace be upon him, travelled.
  • Dinner.
    • Enjoy an authentic traditional Saudi meal served to a high standard.
  • Head to Tabuk.
    • Return to Tabuk, about 152 km away.

Know before you go

  • Mount Al-Lawz is a mountain range in northwestern Saudi Arabia, near the Jordanian border in the Tabuk region, about 200 kilometres northwest of the city of Tabuk.
  • The range rises to 2,580 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest mountain ranges in the Hasma region. It extends from the Sarawat Mountains in western Tabuk to Wadi Rum in Jordan. The range is called Jabal Al-Lawz because of the presence of almond trees.
  • It is one of the most historical areas in the Kingdom's history.
