Fragrances, Forest Views, Baobabs and Coastal Villages
Stop At: Coconi Botanical Garden
- A visit to the Botanical Garden of Coconi will introduce you to the main fragrances and scents of Maoré. Your guide will introduce you to the mysteries of Ylang-Ylang, and explain how this tortured-looking tree produces its precious "juice" thanks to its yellow six-petalled flowers and intoxicating fragrance.
Stop At: Mont Combani
- Proceed to Mont Combani and its primary forest to enjoy a panoramic view over the entire interior of the island, with views of the lagoon and Petite Terre on the horizon, overlooking the whole southern mainland and Bouéni Bay.
Stop At: Musical Plage
- Continue to Musical Plage to see the largest baobab trees on the island. You will see two species of baobabs: African baobabs and Malagasy baobabs. Later, head to Le M'haju Restaurant for lunch, then enjoy some time to chill and relax at the beach.
Stop At: The Bouéni peninsula
- The Bouéni peninsula lies in the south of Mayotte but stretches 4 kilometers to the north, facing Sada town and partly bordering the magnificent Bay of Bouéni. Visit the peninsula along with the fishing villages located on the coast from Majiméouni to Mzouazia.
Pass By: Mamoudzou
- Mamoudzou is the island's main centre for business and services. It is located on two coves separated by Mahabo Point and has approximately 6,200 inhabitants.
Stop At: Dzaoudzi village
- Your visit will begin in Dzaoudzi village, which has approximately 13,000 inhabitants and colonial-era buildings in Mayotte. You will also visit Hotel "Le Rocher," the former boarding house that is now the heritage house, as well as the old post office dating back to 1845, before heading to the port harbour for your onward cruise.
