The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Yaoundé

Arrive at the international airport and be greeted by our friendly tour staff. After completing customs formalities, your guide will ensure a smooth arrival process, including assistance with currency exchange, followed by a comfortable transfer to the hotel for rest.

Day 02

Yaoundé to Lomié via Ayos and Abong Bang

Depart from Yaoundé in the morning for Lomié via Ayos and Abong Bang. This journey offers a beautiful discovery of the equatorial forest. Upon arrival at Raphia Hotel in Lomié, have dinner.

Overnight stay.

Day 03

Lomié to the Pygmy Camp

Drive to the Pygmy village after breakfast. Have lunch upon arrival and take part in the various activities that shape the daily life of these Pygmies, the first inhabitants of the equatorial forest.
Experience the goodness of being in the lap of nature. In the evening, sit around the fire and enjoy the dance of the Pygmies before dinner.

Stay overnight in a tent.

Day 04

Full Day in the Primary Forest with the Baka

Delve into the heart of the primary forest for a full day of activities with the Pygmies. Hike through the dense foliage, gather exotic fruits, and learn the secrets of net hunting.
Immerse yourself in Baka Pygmy culture through their captivating Buma dance and share stories beneath the rainforest canopy. Rest comfortably in your tent for a truly unforgettable night.

Day 05

Camp in the Next Pygmy Zone

Wake up early to the cries of animals and birdsong.
Move to another village in the Pygmy zone, where you will spend two nights.
Watch different activities such as the traditional ignition of fire, palm wine picking, and a Baka traditional dance show.

Dinner and overnight at the Pygmy camp.

Day 06

Pygmy Camp to Mambele via Lomié and Yokadouma

Wake up early, have breakfast, and depart for Lobeke from Lomié.
Camp in Kombo and have dinner.

Overnight stay.

Day 07

Mambele to Lobéké National Park

Get up early in the morning and have breakfast.
Depart for Lobéké National Park. Four kilometres will be covered by car, and the final six kilometres will be covered on foot.
Relax at the camp, then continue to Mirador No. 1 (small savannah) to observe animals such as lowland gorillas, monkeys, forest elephants, and various birds, including parrots and green pigeons.

Dinner and overnight in a tent.

Day 08

Wildlife Viewing at Petite Savane

Wake up early and have breakfast.
Spend the day watching different kinds of animals from the watchtower.
Return to camp and have dinner.

Overnight in a tent.

Day 09

Djangui to Lomié via Mambele and Yokadouma

Have breakfast early in the morning, then proceed to Mambele and continue the journey across Yokadouma until you reach Lomié.
Night stay on the way.

Day 10

Lomié to Yaoundé

Have breakfast and continue the journey to Yaoundé.
Transfer to the hotel or airport to catch your next flight.
