Itinerary

1. Day 1: Journey to Mai Chau

   • 07:00:  Pick up at  your hotel  in Hanoi Old Quarter to board the bus and start the trip to Mai Chau
   • 10:30 = You will stop in Thung Khe Pass for a spectacular view of Mai Chau Valley. The Thung Khe Pass flagpole, also called the Mai Chau Flagpole, is the highlight of the entire mountain pass. During the stop, you can see the local stands selling typical products. Try one of the local specialities, the “Com Lam,” sticky rice cooked in bamboo.
   • 12h: Arrival in Mai Chau, considered the Thai people's capital. Check in and have lunch in the traditional house on stilts, which serves specialities from the Northwest mountains. Take a small rest to relax by the pool or a quick walk in the narrow alleys to admire the local life.
   • Afternoon:
     • 15:00: Start the cycling tour to discover the beautiful Mai Chau valley. You will pass through fields and villages and get the opportunity to discover more about the unique cultural activities of the White Thai ethnic group. Take a break to visit brocade production facilities made by locals.  You are welcome to visit the shops and to buy souvenirs from this unique place.
     • 16:00: Return to the homestay and have free time to relax, enjoy the swimming pool, or walk around the narrow alleys.
     • 19:00: Diner and peaceful night in the homestay
     • *Sleeping: Mai Chau rustic house, Deluxe Room with Air-con and private bathroom

       (or a similar hotel)

2. Day 2: Trekking in Pu Luong, Return to Hanoi

   Morning

   • 06:00 - 07:00 Early breakfast and check out
   • 07:00 Board the bus to start your journey to Pu Luong Nature Reserve
   • 08:00 - 08:30: Arrive at Pu Luong Eco Garden to drop your bags and prepare for the morning trek to Kho Muong village. Kho Muong village is located deep in the core zone of Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Arriving at the top of the hill, you will slowly see the village of Kho Muong and understand how special this place is. After walking around the village, you will walk to the cave entrance, where you can visit the cave (depending on weather conditions).
   • 11:30: Back to Pu Luong Eco Garden to shower and check out. You will then enjoy a lunch at the restaurant.
   • 13:30: Enjoy some free time to relax or swim in the infinity pool before departure.

   Afternoon

   • 15:00 - 19:30: Board the bus and start the transfer back to Hanoi Old Quarter. Drop off at Hanoi Opera House. Tour ends.
