Day 01

From La Octava Market to the Amazon River and Tabatinga Sunset

Meet in the city center at 9 am or at your hotel reception.
Walk to our first stop, La Octava Market Square.
- Learn about the composition of this magical place, where Amazonian families come every morning.
- Enjoy seasonal fruit during the tour.
- Pick up the main ingredients for preparing la leche de tigre, a Peruvian sauce.
At around 10 am, head out by wooden boat to our FLOTANTE restaurant.
Located on the banks of the Amazon River.
- Meet the chef and owner.
- Begin the la leche de tigre workshop.
- Learn about the vital importance of fish as the main food source of the native communities of the Amazon.
Enjoy a Peruvian three-phase lunch.
At around 2 pm, return to Leticia and take a car to Tabatinga, Brazil.
- Learn how to prepare one of the country's most popular cocktails, the caipirinha.
- Watch the sunset before returning to Leticia's central park.
Finish the day watching hundreds and hundreds of parrots.
