This 4-day safari takes you to some of northern Tanzania's most famous national parks, including Tarangire, the world-famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Serengeti National Park. Travel through breathtaking landscapes, including the Great Rift Valley with views of Lake Manyara, the endless Serengeti plains, and the Ngorongoro Highlands and its crater. Along the way, enjoy rewarding wildlife viewing and some of Tanzania's most iconic safari scenery.

After breakfast, you will descend 600 m into the crater for game viewing.

Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Moshi and Safari Briefing

You will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your arranged hotel in Moshi or Arusha town.
You will meet your guide, who will brief you on your Africa safari tour.
You will spend the rest of your time at your own leisure and relaxation.

Day 02

Drive to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your driver will be at your hotel, ready to take you on an approximate 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park.
From the open roof of the safari vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals.
In the evening, you will reach your lodge inside the park.

Day 03

Journey through the Highlands to Serengeti

After breakfast, you will travel via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti, and at midday you will reach the plains of Serengeti National Park.

Day 04

Game Viewing en Route to Ngorongoro

On your outward journey to the park gate, you will enjoy some more game viewing before leaving Serengeti National Park in the early afternoon to continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
On the way, you can also see a Maasai boma and their traditional way of life.
You will be staying at a lodge located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 05

Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Moshi

After breakfast, you will descend 600 m into the crater for game viewing.
After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, you will leave the caldera in the late afternoon.
You will leave the crater and drive to Moshi town.

Know before you go

Giant baobab trees, bush savannah, and the seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve.
Tarangire National Park is considered one of the best places to view elephants up close.
The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests, which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions.
Leopards are seen now and then, but cheetahs are rarely spotted.
This park is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes - short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, and lakes.
Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape, where predators are often seen.
The Serengeti is famous for the yearly migration, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water.
The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals, ranging from the Big Five - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard - to spotted hyenas, rare warthogs, and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area.
