Itinerary
-
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
- Early in the morning, after breakfast, we'll depart towards Serengeti National Park and pass through the high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Leaving the highlands behind, we'll descend towards the endless plains of Serengeti National Park.
- Drive towards the central Serengeti area. This is one of the areas in the park rich in wildlife habitats. The area is well known as Seronera, and it features the Seronera River, a very valuable source of water in Central Serengeti. This river attracts large numbers of Serengeti wildlife species. We will arrive on time for lunch and then, later on, enjoy the afternoon game drive within Serengeti National Park. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Seronera Campsite in the Serengeti.
-
Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
- After breakfast, depart to enjoy a morning game drive with an amazing sunrise view, followed by lunch at the campsite. Later, depart heading to Ngorongoro Crater as you enjoy game drives en route. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Simba Campsite in Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA).
-
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
- After an early breakfast, depart and descend over 600 meters into Ngorongoro Crater, the breathtaking natural wonder. Ngorongoro Crater supports a gigantic diversity of animals due to year-round water and food supply. This comprises herds of wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, hippos, African elephants, elands and warthogs. The park is unique, too, due to its intense population of predators such as lions, jackals, cheetahs, hyenas and the mysterious, rarely spotted leopard.
- On the Southwest corner of the crater lies Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake described as one of the main features of the crater. The lake consists of many flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. Later in the afternoon, depart to Arusha and be transferred to the airport.
