Day 01

Arrival at Avincis Winery with Vineyard Hike and Wine Tasting

Arrival and welcome at Avincis Winery:
- Guests arrive in the afternoon at Avincis Winery and are warmly welcomed by the winery's hosts.
- The family manor, renovated by architect Alexandru Beldiman, reflects Brâncovenesc style influences from the early 20th century.
- The winery is a masterpiece, resembling a ship atop Dobrușa hill and blending seamlessly into the natural landscape.
- The winery features walls adorned in Arnota limestone, a lawn extending to the roof, and three wooden houses defining the terrace, creating a picturesque setting.
Activities for guests:
- After settling into comfortable rooms, guests can enjoy a leisurely hike through the vineyard, covering approximately 3 km around the vineyards.
- Following the hike, an insightful introduction to the winery is provided, followed by a delightful wine-tasting session.
- A light dinner is served while discussing cycling route plans for the upcoming day.

Bike Around the Hills of Avincis and Departure

- The length of the bike ride will be adjusted based on guests' departure plans, ensuring flexibility for shorter or longer rides.
Bike route: The bike route covers a 30 km route around the area, offering scenic views of the surrounding forests and landscapes.

Meals provided include breakfast to start the day off energized.

Additionally, tour snacks will be available to keep guests fueled during the bike ride.

What to bring

We recommend being prepared to stay warm or cool for all weather conditions. This means having lots of layers. Start with a breathable synthetic shirt under a vest, windbreaker, or jacket. Avoid cotton fabrics while exercising - their absorbent qualities prevent wicking and insulate poorly when wet. For colder days, we also recommend wool clothing.

GT, Cannondale, or Trek XC bicycles are available on this tour.
You may bring your seat, pedals, bottles, and other accessories; we will change seats and pedals for you. While a helmet will be provided, we recommend that, for safety and hygiene reasons, you bring your own or plan to purchase one upon arrival.
The Drăgășani vineyard has a rich tradition of producing exquisite white wines known for their finesse, freshness, and notable acidity.
The region's red wines, primarily crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon and the local Negru de Drăgășani variety, hold a special place in the viticultural landscape.
