What to bring

We recommend being prepared for all weather conditions to stay warm or keep cool. This means having lots of layers. Start with a breathable synthetic shirt to layer under a vest, windbreaker, or jacket, and avoid cotton fabrics while exercising - their absorbent qualities prevent wicking and insulate poorly when wet. For colder days, we also recommend wool clothing.

  • Bike shorts
  • Cycling jerseys
  • Active socks
  • Biking gloves
  • Clip-in pedals (if preferred over flat pedals)
  • Cycling or athletic shoes (to clip in or for flat pedals)
  • Lightweight jacket
  • Arm/leg warmers
  • Sunglasses
  • Wind/rain jacket
  • Lightweight headband or hat
  • Camelback/hydration pack (Mountain Bike only)
  • Helmet (or use ours)
  • Saddle (or use ours)
