6-Day Snowshoeing Tour in Romania with St. Ana Lake and Harghita

• Individual arrival, followed by time to get together and visit Bucharest, the capital city.

• Depending on your arrival time, we will organise a "get together" meeting in a nice restaurant for short presentations.

• We will then enjoy a walking tour of Romania's main city before a welcome dinner in a nice restaurant.

• This is a good opportunity to get to know each other, plan the next days, and review the program.

• Optional airport transfer is available.

Overnight in Bucharest.

Meals: welcome dinner.

• After breakfast, we will transfer by car or train to Brasov.

• There, we will stroll through the small streets, discover stories of the local communities, and have lunch in the historical area.

• After lunch, there will be time for another hike or snowshoeing in the city's most visited reserve: Tampa Mountain.

• From above, we will enjoy a great view over the historical city centre.

• In the evening, we will transfer to Tusnad, a bathing resort in the Carpathians.

Accommodation and dinner in Tusnad Bai, in a local hotel.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

• Today is the first full day of our long snowshoeing experience.

• After breakfast, we will climb the volcano near the bathing resort.

• At the top, after a long hike and snowshoeing route, we will reach St. Ana Lake, Romania's only volcanic lake.

• We will start from about 500 m altitude and climb to 1,100 m, crossing a wild forest along the way.

• After lunch, we can also visit a nearby natural reserve with plants from the old volcano.

• On the way back, we will follow a different path to return to Tusnad.

• In the evening, we will relax in a thermal bath in the resort.

Dinner and accommodation in Tusnad Bath, at the same resort.

Meals: breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner.

• After breakfast, we will transfer for one hour to another excellent area for winter tours.

• We will begin our route in Harghita Bai resort and finish in Izvoare resort, crossing the Harghita Mountains.

• Along the way, we will reach the Madaras ski resort and the 1,800 m peak.

• At the end of the route, we will conclude the day in a winter manor.

• Our hosts prepare hunting dishes and have a good collection of wines.

Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

• After breakfast, we will visit a hunting resort near the chalet, where we can admire wild animals.

• We will then continue our snowshoeing experience in the wild.

• Crossing the mountains once again, we will arrive in Odorheiu Secuiesc, the most important city in the area.

• This marks the end of our adventure.

• In the evening, we will meet for the farewell dinner.

• After breakfast, we will visit a hunting resort near the chalet, where we can admire wild animals.

• We will then continue our snowshoeing experience in the wild.

• We will cross the mountains again to arrive in Odorheiu Secuiesc, the most important city in the area. This will be the end of our adventure.

• In the evening, we will meet for the farewell dinner.
