St. Paul's Chapel, New York City’s oldest public building still in continuous use. Just one block away from the 9/11 attacks, it survived the falling building & debris. St. Paul’s Chapel served as makeshift rescue center. The iron fence became a bulletin board where family members posted notices of their missing loved ones. The outside structure of the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, is the subway entrance and extensive shopping center. The name comes from the strip of windows, or skylights, along the spine of the roof. Oculus is the Latin word for “eye,” which, in architecture, refers to a round or eye-like opening with a view of the sky. Take a look up through the windows, and you’ll see Freedom Tower.Enter the 911 Museum with exclusive skip the line access. Admission to the museum is only included if that option is selected.
