11-Day Botswana Safari with Bushmen, Okavango Delta and Moremi

• Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you will be welcomed by the host guide and driver from your safari camp, who will assist you with your onward light aircraft transfer to your camp in the Central Kalahari.
• Your guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge for your three-night stay.
• Aircraft flight time from Maun to Kalahari Plains Camp is approximately 1 hour.

• The Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) is the largest and most remotely situated reserve in Southern Africa, as well as the second-largest wildlife reserve in the world. Waist-high golden grasses seem to stretch endlessly, punctuated by dwarfed trees and scrub bushes. Wide, empty pans appear as vast white stretches of saucer-flat earth, meeting a soft blue-white sky. At night, the stars utterly dominate the land; their brilliance and immediacy are truly arresting.
• The park contains wildlife such as South African giraffe, bush elephant, white rhino, cape buffalo, spotted hyena, brown hyena, honey badger, meerkat, yellow mongoose, warthog, South African cheetah, caracal, Cape wild dog, black-backed jackal, bat-eared fox, cape fox, African leopard, Kalahari lion, blue wildebeest, plains zebra, common eland, sable antelope, gemsbok, springbok, steenbok, impala, greater kudu, aardvark, cape ground squirrel, cape hare, cape porcupine, chacma baboon, red hartebeest, and ostrich. The land is mostly flat and gently undulating, covered with bush and grasses across sand dunes and areas of larger trees.

• This morning, after your morning game activity, your lodge manager will assist you to the airstrip, where you board a light aircraft to your lodge in the Okavango Delta.
• After landing at the airstrip nearest to your camp, you will be met by your driver and guide and transferred by road to your tented camp set among the marula trees and acacia trees.
• There is time to settle into your tented suite before departing on your first afternoon game activity in the Okavango Delta. Return to your lodge in the early evening for dinner before retiring to your suite. Light aircraft flight time from Kalahari Plains to the Okavango Delta is approximately 1.5 hours.
• Enjoy the splendid Delta on safari, mokoro, boat, walks, and game drives with delicious cuisine.

• The Okavango Delta is home to the Big Five and large herds of elephants and buffalo. Famed for its big cats - especially lions - and bird population, the Delta is a peaceful haven where animals have been protected for decades. Watch giraffes and other plains game march across the savannah. You might even catch a glimpse of rare wild dogs stalking the plains.

• You will be transferred to the nearest airstrip from your camp and connect with your light aircraft transfer to your lodge in the Moremi Game Reserve. There is time to settle into your camp for your three-night stay before setting off on your afternoon game activity in the Moremi Game Reserve. Flying time from the Okavango Delta to Moremi Game Reserve is approximately 35 minutes. Check in and view the area.
• Depart for a boat cruise with lunch packs and drinks.
• Return to the lodge for a break and depart for a sunset safari game drive.
• Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Moremi Game Reserve is situated in the central and eastern areas of the Okavango and includes permanent dry land such as Chief's Island and the peninsula known as Moremi Tongue. This means that areas of dry woodland and savannah lie next to picturesque floodplains and lagoons. This makes for spectacular game viewing and birdwatching. Over 400 species of birds, many migratory and some endangered, have been recorded in the reserve. Both black and white rhinos have recently been reintroduced, along with elephant herds. Flying time from the Okavango Delta to Moremi Game Reserve is approximately 35 minutes.
