In the afternoon, head towards the mountain oases by crossing Chott El Gharsa: Chebika, Tamerza, and Ong Djmel, located on the terrace of the Saharan Atlas and celebrated for their natural water sources and waterfall.

The itinerary

Day 01

Tozeur via El Hamma and the Mountain Oases

Departure from your hotel in Djerba towards the Bac.
Continue to Tozeur via El Hamma. On the way, visit the petrified sand at "Dbebcha" and cross Chott Djerid, the largest salt depression in North Africa. Lunch will be served in a restaurant with a menu of 3 types of salad and grilled lamb.
In the afternoon, head towards the mountain oases by crossing Chott El Gharsa: Chebika, Tamerza, and Ong Djmel, located on the terrace of the Saharan Atlas and celebrated for their natural water sources and waterfall. Arrive at Hotel El Hafsi or a similar hotel for a half-board stay.

Day 02

Old Medina of Tozeur, Douz, and Matmata

Breakfast and visit to the old medina of Tozeur.
Departure for Douz, the door of the desert, with the possibility of a camel or quad ride in the white dunes.
Continue to Matmata, the troglodyte village.
Visit a house dug underground and enjoy lunch with the locals.
Departure to the village of Toujane for a photo break.
Return to Djerba via the Roman road.
