Sign up for this 7-day safari through three of Kenya's top wildlife destinations: Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli National Park. Masai Mara is well known for its near-guaranteed sightings of the Big Five and the annual migration of zebra and wildebeests. Lake Nakuru is home to a huge population of pink flamingos, more than 400 bird species, and a sanctuary for the white rhinoceros. In Amboseli, look out for large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

The lake is famously known for the lesser flamingos' spectacular life along the lakeshore, where they feed on algae that give them a pink colour after the heat of the day shines upon their bodies.

The itinerary

Day 01

Nairobi to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley

Today, we depart for Masai Mara after breakfast at 8:00 am. Drive past Nairobi to the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley, descend the escarpment, and continue via Narok to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive until sunset. The Mara is enormous and famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration, and it is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino.
Note that Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals found here are varied and easy to see. Residents among them are the Masai giraffe, eland, and thousands of antelopes, zebra, topi, and both Thomson's and Grant's gazelles.
Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02

Full-Day Game Drives in Masai Mara

The search for great predators continues today during prolific game drives. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals, plus the elusive leopard and cheetah hiding amidst the acacia tree boughs.
During our stay, we will have the opportunity to visit the Masai village of the local Masai people - at an extra cost - to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their homes and social structure. It is a poignant experience.
Overnight stay at the lodge. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 03

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

This morning, after breakfast, we will proceed to Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, we will continue for a game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park until sunset. The lake is famously known for the lesser flamingos' spectacular life along the lakeshore, where they feed on algae that give them a pink colour after the heat of the day shines upon their bodies. Also to be seen are lions, white rhinos, and many bird species.
Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha Adventure

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive for slightly over an hour to arrive for an optional afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see the fish eagle hunt. You may also enjoy the Crescent Island tour and a walking safari with giraffes, wildebeest, and pumba. Attractions today include hippos, waterbucks, giraffes, and hundreds of bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 05

Lake Naivasha to Amboseli with Afternoon Game Viewing

Depart Naivasha for Amboseli after breakfast, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed for afternoon game viewing until sunset. Amboseli is home to much wildlife, yet the greatest attractions here are the huge number of elephants, hippos, and birds. It is also the best spot to view Africa's highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 06

Explore Amboseli National Park

Explore Amboseli today. Visiting different corners of the park in the morning and afternoon, you can also see the culture of the locals. Return to the poolside with a drink to soak in the joy of the day.

Day 07

Final Game Drive and Return to Nairobi

After breakfast, leave the lodge or semi-luxury camp for the last game drive in the park as you depart Amboseli National Park for Nairobi. A hot lunch will be served en route, and you will arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon with sweet memories. Drop-off will be at your hotel or the airport for a connecting flight to your next destination.
