From Havana to Cienfuegos and Onward to Trinidad

  • As we bid farewell to Havana, we set our sights on Cienfuegos, known as the "Pearl of the South." Join us on this cross-cultural expedition as we travel from the rhythm of Havana to the grace of Cienfuegos. Uncover the secrets of two Cuban gems, each telling a unique story etched in time.
  • Once in Cienfuegos, embark on a leisurely stroll along the Paseo del Prado and Avenida San Fernando, a vibrant pedestrian street. Along this scenic route, we'll make stops at the Artisan Market and Hotel La Unión. The latter, situated nearby, boasts stunning panoramic views from its rooftop.

Here, we'll delve into the founding history of Cienfuegos and marvel at iconic landmarks such as the Government Palace, the Tomás Terry Theater, and the cathedral. These architectural gems showcase the city's Neoclassical heritage, earning it a well-deserved place on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its exemplary Spanish urban planning from the early 19th century.
