Full-Day Montevideo Highlights and Coastal Neighborhoods
- You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning, as the first destination is the "Old City," and it is better to go early to avoid traffic and crowds. There, you will walk through some of its streets and historic spots, including Plaza Matriz, the Cathedral, the Cabildo, Plaza Zabala, Peatonal Sarandi, Mercado del Puerto, Plaza Independencia, the Government House, and the Artigas Mausoleum.
- Then, you will visit the Rambla, the last remaining avenue of the ancient colonial wall that fortified the city. From there, you will take a long drive along the coast, visiting various neighborhoods, parks, beaches, and places such as Parque Rodó, Punta Carretas, the Lighthouse, Villa Biarritz, Pocitos, Buceo, Malvin, and Carrasco.
- You will also go off the beaten track to experience the local approach and everyday life.
- After exploring the coastline, you will continue to Parque Batlle, the Estadio Centenario, the Palacio Legislativo, and the neighborhood of El Prado.
