The itinerary

Day 01

From Huaraz to Pisco Base Camp via Yungay and Llanganuco

Depart from Huaraz at 6:00 am and head north along the Callejon de Huaylas valley until you reach Yungay town.
Turn east and continue driving up toward Llanganuco valley, passing beautiful glacier lakes along the way.
At Cebollapampa, take the donkey and donkey driver service to load the climbing gear and transport it to the base camp at 4665 m.

Overnight camp at base camp.

Day 02

Pisco Summit Climb and Return to Base Camp

Have an early breakfast at 1:00 am.
Start walking up toward the Pisco summit at 5752 m. After 3 hours, pass the rocky moraine side and reach the glacier edge.
Reach the top after 4 hours of climbing. On the summit, see more than 10 other summits over 6,000 meters high, including the giant Mount Huascarán.
Come back to the camping spot and spend the last night camping at the base camp.

Day 03

Descent to Cebollapampa and Return to Huaraz

Pick up the climbing gear after a hearty breakfast. Walk down to Cebollapampa, where the private transport will be waiting to take you back to Huaraz.

This summit is perfect for acclimatization, with an easy climb on the normal route along the west ridge. It offers breathtaking mountain views from the summit, surrounded by huge snow-capped peaks such as Huandoy, Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Yanapaccha, Chacraraju, Piramide Garcilaso, Caraz, and the impressive Mount Alpamayo.
