4-Day Tanzania Camping Safari through Serengeti and Ngorongoro

Depart early in the morning from Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing and photography. Lake Manyara is home to large numbers of flamingos, pelicans, storks, and many other bird species, and is therefore regarded as the birding paradise of Tanzania.

Other animals easily spotted include hippos, which can be observed at close range during your boat ride. Giraffes, gazelles, warthogs, and others can also be seen browsing inside the park. If you are lucky, you might even see the rare tree-climbing lion.

After an early breakfast, depart for the Great Serengeti and arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, continue with game viewing in one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations.

Serengeti is home to Africa's Big Five - elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo - and also supports millions of other animals, including browsers, predators, reptiles, and birds. The annual wildebeest migration begins in June, when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle head into the Masai Mara plains in search of better pasture.

These animals are followed closely by the predators of the savannah, including lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, vultures, and others. In the evening, transfer back to your accommodation for rest and dinner.

Enjoy an early breakfast followed by morning game drives within Serengeti to see the park one last time. Afterwards, return to camp for a hot lunch, check out, and continue by road to Ngorongoro Crater.

Arrive in the evening for check-in and dinner. Ngorongoro is rich and fertile, with stunning views of the crater and lakes.

After breakfast, check out from camp and take a packed picnic lunch to enjoy during your 6 hours of game viewing on the crater floor. Descend into the crater and experience this breathtaking huge caldera, home to Tanzania's only remaining black rhino population.

Other animals that are easy to spot include hippos, elephants, gazelles, antelopes, flamingos, and other water birds. In the afternoon, ascend back to the crater rim and transfer to Arusha to connect with your next flight to your next destination.
