2-Day Cairo and Giza Tour from Alexandria Port with Memphis

Your private tour guide will be waiting for you inside Alexandria Port at 6:00 am, holding a sign with your name. From there, you will travel to Cairo to explore the iconic Giza Pyramids. Discover the greatness of the pyramids as you visit the three main ones: Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Explore the Valley Temple, where the priests mummified the body of King Chephren, and marvel at the enigmatic Sphinx, with its lion body and the head of King Chephren.

A delicious lunch at a local restaurant is included, offering a full meal for each person, with beverages not included. Afterward, continue your day tour to Sakkara, located just 27 km southwest of Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid, built for King Zoser, which played a crucial role in the evolution of pyramid construction.

Next, explore Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you can admire the colossal statue of Ramses II and the impressive Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C., showcasing Egypt's rich history.

If you wish, you can also enjoy an optional shopping tour at traditional bazaars, where you will find a variety of souvenirs such as perfume oils, papyrus, and hieroglyphics.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. If you are up for more adventure, your guide can arrange an optional evening tour. Choose between a Dinner Cruise, which includes transportation, dinner, a belly dancer, and a Tanura show for $45 USD per person, or a Sound & Light Laser Show in the Pyramids area for $35 USD per person. Both optional tours are not included in the package.

After enjoying breakfast at 7:30 am, your Egyptologist guide will meet you in the lobby to begin your day of exploration. The first stop is the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, where you will have the opportunity to marvel at the fascinating exhibits, including the renowned treasures of King Tutankhamun.

Before continuing, there will be a panoramic photo stop in Cairo, allowing you to capture the beauty of the city and the majestic Nile River. Next, you will enjoy an external visit to the Citadel of Saladin, a historic fortress, and the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, known for its striking architecture.

Continuing the journey, you will visit Old Cairo, where you can enter the Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara, explore the famous Hanging Church, and visit the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue, a significant historical site for the Jewish community.

As the tour nears its end, you will be escorted back to Alexandria, with an opportunity to capture memorable photos of the renowned Library of Alexandria and the historic Lighthouse. Upon arriving at your cruise ship, you will have ample time, at least 2 hours, to comfortably prepare for departure.
