The itinerary

Day 01

Tarangire National Park Safari

• We will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha and then proceed to Tarangire National Park.
• This is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania, located in the Manyara region.
• The park is characterized by large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees, also called the Tree of Life for the almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it.
• It is especially known for the Tarangire River, which flows all year round and is the only source of water for wild animals during the dry season.
• After a full-day game drive, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge in the evening for dinner, a warm shower, and an overnight stay.

Day 02

Lake Manyara and Maasai Heritage

• After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara via a Maasai village.
• The park derives its name from the Maasai word Manyara, which refers to the plant Euphorbia tirucalli, used by the Maasai people to grow livestock stockades.
• Manyara produces a durable, stock-proof hedge among other similar kinds.
• A specimen of Euphorbia tirucalli can be found at the entrance gate of the Great Rift Valley, part of the fault line in the earth's crust that stretches 8,000 kilometers (4,971 miles) from Turkey to the mouth of the Zambezi River in Mozambique.
• The fault is so massive that when astronauts landed on the moon, the Rift Valley was visible to them.
• After a full-day game drive, you will be transferred to Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge in the evening for dinner, a warm shower, and an overnight stay.

Day 03

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

• After breakfast, we will leave early in the morning for a drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive.
• This is another UNESCO World Heritage Site, located west of Arusha in the crater highlands of Tanzania.
• The area is named after Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest caldera.
• The stunning landscape of Ngorongoro, with its vast expanses of highland plains and concentration of some 25,000 animals, makes this place one of the most exotic natural wonders on earth.
• After a full-day game drive, you will be transferred to Ngorongoro Lions Paw in the evening for dinner, a warm shower, and an overnight stay.

Day 04

Serengeti Big Five Safari

• After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti National Park in Central Seronera.
• This park is well known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the

Day 05

Final Game Drive and Flight to Arusha

• After a good night's sleep, this morning it is departure time.
• After one last game drive, your vehicle will take you to the Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha Airport.
• After boarding the aircraft, your trip nears its end, but you can still peer out over the wings of the plane and enjoy the magnificent views while flying over Serengeti National Park.
• Admire the changing scenery of the Great Rift Valley.
• You will land at Arusha Airport with a camera full of pictures to share with friends and family and look back on the amazing memories created by your African endeavor.

• The operator can help you select your international or domestic flights, but you will need to book them yourself.
• Fly to/from Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO - check price) near Arusha, or fly to/from Arusha Airport (ARK - check price) via Dar es Salaam or Nairobi, Kenya.
• A transfer from and back to the airport is included.
• Additional accommodation before and at the end of the tour can be arranged for an extra cost.
