5-Day Luxury Migration Safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater

• After breakfast, you will be picked up.
• Option 1 - Drive to Arusha Airport or fly from Zanzibar Airport or Dar es Salaam Airport to Kogatende Airstrip in the Serengeti. After arrival, proceed with a game drive in the North Serengeti wilderness area.
• Option 2 - Travel by road to the Karatu Region. Karatu District is one of the seven districts of the Arusha Region of Tanzania. The district is bordered to the north by Ngorongoro District and to the west by Meatu District in the Simiyu Region.

Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and recently proclaimed the 7th wonder of the world, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, where some six million hooves pound the open plains. It offers an exotic game-viewing experience in Africa, giving you an up-close look at animals you may have only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of elands, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant's gazelle.

• After the game drive, transfer to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Maramboi Tented Lodge in Karatu, or, if you fly, overnight at Mara Mara Tented Lodge.

• A full day of exploration in Serengeti North awaits after an enjoyable breakfast at the camp. Look out for the great migration and observe the local fauna, which includes prides of up to thirty lions. Savor a hearty meal served by your knowledgeable driver-guide or back at the camp, then continue with your game drive.
• In the late afternoon, head back to Mara Mara Tented Lodge for a delicious meal and a relaxing night.

• In the morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then continue to the Mara River crossing for a full day of observing the migration, where the herds display their amazing movements. Return to Mara Mara Tented Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, savoring the unique beauty and wildlife of the Serengeti.

Optional activity:

Rise early for an unforgettable hot air balloon safari, followed by breakfast.

• Today, we wake up early and begin the day with a beautiful sunrise game drive. There is something truly magical about experiencing the African wilderness at sunrise, and a sunrise game drive is one of the best ways to do so. Early morning is an incredible time to spot some of the park's most elusive and active wildlife, including lions, leopards, and hyenas. The cooler temperatures and softer light create the perfect conditions for a memorable safari adventure as you journey through the park's vast savannahs and grasslands.
• In the afternoon, it will be time to head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey to the park is an adventure in itself, as you travel along winding roads through breathtaking scenery.
• In the evening, overnight at Melia in Ngorongoro.

• This unique natural wonder is home to an incredible array of wildlife, from herds of grazing antelope to majestic lions and towering elephants. As you journey through the crater on a game drive, you will have the chance to spot some of the park's most iconic species, including black rhinoceros, hippos, and wildebeest. Your experienced guide will share insights into the ecology of the region, along with stories and facts about the fascinating behaviors of the park's many species.
• The Ngorongoro Crater is a particularly special location for a game drive because of its enclosed nature. Surrounded by towering walls, the crater forms a natural amphitheater that makes it easy to spot a wide range of wildlife. You will travel through lush forests and open savannahs, taking in breathtaking views of the crater floor and its many inhabitants. As your safari adventure concludes in the afternoon, we will drive to Arusha for your flight back home.
• Alternatively, continue to your booked hotel for an overnight stay in Arusha.
