Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
- Transfer to a hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
- Attend a pre-climbing briefing and equipment check.
- Drive to the Rongai Gate (1,950 meters).
- Begin hiking through the rainforest.
- Reach Simba Camp (2,650 meters) for overnight stay.

Day 2: Simba Camp to Kikelewa Camp
- Continue hiking through moorland vegetation.
- Pass Second Cave en route to Kikelewa Camp (3,600 meters).
- Enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 3: Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp
- Ascend through alpine desert terrain.
- Reach Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,330 meters).
- Take in stunning views of Mawenzi Peak.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Mawenzi Tarn
- Another extra day on the Mount Kilimanjaro through Rongai Route.
- You will spend two nights at Mawenzi Tarn.
- Hike up towards Mawenzi for a splendid acclimatization hike.
- Then after return back to the camp for lunch the dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn Camp to Kibo Hut
- Trek across the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo.
- Arrive at Kibo Hut (4,700 meters).
- Rest and prepare for the summit attempt.

Day 6: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak and descent to Horombo Hut
- Begin the final ascent around midnight.
- Reach Gilman’s Point (5,681 meters) at sunrise.
- Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa.
- Descend to Horombo Hut (3,720 meters) for overnight stay.

Day 7: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
- Descend through the rainforest.
- Reach Marangu Gate (1,860 meters).
- Receive certificates of achievement.
- Transfer back to Moshi or Arusha.
