The itinerary

Day 01

From Arusha to Tarangire National Park

• Your journey begins with pickup from your lodging and transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your flight to Arusha.
• From there, continue on a two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, passing Maasai villages and the iconic Tanzanian plains along the way.
• Enjoy a thrilling 7-hour game drive and a picturesque picnic lunch by the Tarangire River - but keep an eye out for crafty monkeys.
• Look out for lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, and various antelope species during your safari.
• After the day's adventure, return to your accommodation for dinner and a restful night at Tloma Lodge.

Day 02

Mto wa Mbu to Ngorongoro Crater

• After a delectable breakfast prepared by our chef, set off for Ngorongoro, known as the 8th Wonder of the World. This breathtaking destination is home to the iconic Big Five and offers prime opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino.
• Enjoy a unique meal near the mighty hippos at the hippo pool from the comfort of your open-roof 4x4 safari vehicle.
• Capture memorable photos and observe iconic wildlife up close.
• After an exciting day, savour a picnic lunch at the famous hippo pool before heading to Kilimanjaro Airport for your late-evening flight to Zanzibar.
• Upon returning, you will be transferred to your Arusha hotel, with an expected arrival time between 4:50 pm and 5:20 pm.
• Catch evening flights to Zanzibar from Kilimanjaro Airport at 7:40 pm or 8:20 pm with Air Tanzania and Precision Air, respectively.

• This tour starts and ends in Arusha.
• This operator can help you select your international or domestic flights, but you will need to book them yourself.
• Fly to/from Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) near Arusha, or fly to/from Arusha Airport (ARK) via Dar es Salaam or Nairobi, Kenya.
• A transfer to and from the airport is included.
• Additional accommodation before and at the end of the tour can be arranged at an extra cost.
