Itinerary

1. Jinvali Water Reservoir

   After forty minutes, the first stop will be at the Zhinvali reservoir where beautiful views await you. 

2. Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble

   • Ananuri fortress: a story in stone. On the coast of Aragvi, you will be met by the only fortress of Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defence complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi (heads of the people). We will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17th century, whose facade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the decor carries a hidden meaning.

3. White and Black Aragvi

   You will find the confluence of two rivers (White and Black Aragvi), breathtaking views at the Arch of Friendship and an unusual mineral spring resembling a golden river.

   At the confluence of the two Aragvi and in the beautiful valley, there are restaurants located in many beautiful places where you can taste Georgian khinkali and other traditional mountain dishes. (Restaurant is paid).

4. Gudauri Ski Resort

   Gudauri ski resort, where the huge mountains of the Caucasus are spread out.

5. Panorama Gudauri, Friendship Arch.

   Friendship Arch. on the edge of the mountain near Gudauri. This is the highest point of the pass and the perfect place to submit to the mountains forever!

6. Gergeti Trinity Church

   You surely saw such postcards: an ancient monastery standing on a hill on a background of snow-capped mountains. In reality, you will go to the village of Stepantsminda at the foot of Kazbek for these species. There, you will transfer to jeeps to climb to the "monastery behind the clouds" sung in Pushkin's poems.
