Accra City Experience and Independence Heritage
Our Accra city tour takes you to the W.E.B. DuBois Center. Dr. DuBois is called the "Father of Pan-Africanism," and this prominent Pan-Africanist chose to live, work, and become a citizen of Ghana.
Next, take a walking tour of Accra's largest open-air market. The market overflows with goods, people, scents, and sounds, which means it can be overwhelming to navigate on your own.
Continue to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to learn about the history of Ghana's independent leader and first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Next is the Centre for National Culture, simply known as "The Arts Center." It has everything from woven Kente cloth to wooden sculptures, beadwork, and other fashion accessories.
Then, go to the Black Star Square, where you will learn about the history of Ghana's independence struggle and see the Independence Arch, Black Star Gate, and the Liberation Day Monuments.
