  • Embark on a guided visit to the bustling capital city of Cambodia and explore its key attraction points.
  • First, visit the Royal Palace complex, the official residence of the King and one of the city's most conspicuous landmarks, displaying impressive, colorful Khmer-style architecture.
  • Next to the palace is the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Emerald Buddha Temple, which houses many Buddha statues decorated with diamonds, emeralds, and silver.
  • Continue to Wat Phnom, a historic hilltop site where you will learn why the city is named as it is. Next is Tuol Sleng, also known as S-21, a former high school that was converted into a prison during the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 to 1979 and used for torture, interrogation, and forced confessions.
  • Another place to visit is Choeung Ek Genocidal Center, known as the Killing Fields, where Khmer Rouge prisoners were executed.

Good to know: Visitors to the Royal Palace must wear proper clothes that cover their shoulders and knees.
