Day 01
Sharm El-Sheikh to Petra and Back
- Sharm El Sheikh
- Your journey begins with a transfer in a modern air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. The drive to Taba takes approximately three hours. Upon arrival in Taba, you will receive assistance with boarding the boat to Aqaba.
- Petra
- Your next destination is Petra, where you will enjoy a full day of exploration. The tour covers the "Red Rose Rock City," a marvel carved into the mountains that once served as the city of the Nabataeans. You will begin with a horseback ride through the Siq, a natural canyon crack in the rocks. As you walk through the 1.2-kilometre canyon, you will see stunning carvings of statues, idols, and niches. Along the way, you will encounter the Treasury, an enduring structure that has stood in the landscape for more than two millennia. Continuing your journey, you will explore the Street of Facades, the Roman theatre, the Royal Tombs, the Roman colonnaded street, and Qasr al-Bent. Lunch will be provided during this memorable day of exploration. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to Aqaba port to board the cruise for your return to Taba.
- Sharm El Sheikh
- Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. Please note that in the event of an unexpected ferry cancellation, or for bookings on days outside the regular schedule, alternative arrangements will be made. You will then be transferred via the Taba border to the Arava border for crossing into the Jordanian side.
