Upon your arrival, you will meet our employee at the entrance gate, who will pick you up from the airport and transport you to your 5-star hotel in Cairo. Overnight at your Cairo hotel.
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to start your visit to the great pyramids, which date back to 2400 years B.C. These pyramids include the Great Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus.
You will begin with the Pyramid of Khufu, probably the most famous because it is the largest pyramid in existence, reaching a height of 147 meters. It took about 2,300,000 stones and 20 years to build.
Next, you will visit the Great Sphinx, the biggest statue in the world and the oldest known monumental sculpture. The Sphinx has the head of a man and the body of a lion and was built to protect the pyramids and deter tomb thieves.
Afterwards, you will turn to the mysterious Valley Temple. The Valley Temple was used solely for the purpose of mummifying the bodies of many royals and nobles.
Following your visit to the pyramids, enjoy lunch, and then continue your Cairo tour with a visit to the Egyptian Museum. The Egyptian Museum displays more than 120,000 genuine artifacts with origins ranging from Roman, Greek, and Arabic, including the Tutankhamun collection of treasures dating back more than 3,500 years.
After that, transfer to Cairo airport to catch a flight to Luxor, where you will check in at a 5-star hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, our tour guide will accompany you to visit the immortal places of Luxor. The Valley of the Kings holds the mummies of Egypt's kings and queens from the 18th to the 20th dynasty. The valley contains beautifully decorated, well-preserved tombs of Ramses II and the young Pharaoh Tutankhamen, which contained many precious and valuable materials that might be needed in the afterlife.
Then walk with the tour guide to witness Queen Hatshepsut, a true example of the advanced level of classical architecture the ancient Egyptians were able to reach. It was built on three levels and is one of the most wonderful temples in Egypt.
Move on for lunch, then continue to visit the Colossi of Memnon, two twin massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III made from blocks of quartzite that were moved 700 km from Cairo to Luxor.
After that, turn to the holy temple in Luxor: Karnak Temple, the largest and oldest house of worship ever built by man in history. It stands on 147 acres of land and was enlarged over the generations by many Pharaohs who desired to honour the gods.
At the end of the day, transfer to Luxor airport to fly back to Cairo for an overnight stay.
Enjoy your breakfast, then transfer to Cairo airport to complete your departure formalities. This will be the end of your Cairo and Luxor holiday package.
