7-Day Kenya Wildlife Safari through Samburu, Nakuru and Masai Mara

• Depart Nairobi and drive northwards to Samburu Game Reserve via Mt. Kenya and past coffee plantations.

• Relish a picnic lunch and a game drive en route, viewing the unusual reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, and the Somali ostrich, all of which you will not see in other game parks.

• Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the park, famous as the homeland of the semi-nomadic Samburu tribesmen. It is also home to the various species named above, in addition to lions, cheetahs, leopards, among others.

• In the morning, drive south towards Lake Nakuru National Park.

• Eat lunch at Nakuru before proceeding for an afternoon game drive in the park. This is a shallow soda lake that inhabits more than a million flamingoes. The lake also has a rhino sanctuary, which gives you a good chance of seeing these remarkable animals.

• After breakfast, leave for Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch.

• After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive in the game reserve, Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Although July, August, and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife all year round. The famous Masai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.

• Spend the day at the Mara with a game drive from sunrise to sundowner, the greatest moments for game viewing in these mystic plains, when the soft red hues of the sun give your photographs the clarity of the actual African savannah.

• Enjoy morning game viewing with a long drive to the Mara River, where you will be able to see amazing numbers of hippos and crocodiles of sizes you may not have seen before.

• After lunch at the camp or lodge, take an afternoon drive in the Masai Hills, with optional activities for a dawn nature walk safari to experience the awakening of Africa in Masai land.

• Proceed for morning and afternoon game viewing in the park, or choose the extra option of a balloon safari early in the morning or a visit to a Masai village in the mid-morning.

• Later, enjoy your afternoon game drive.

• After breakfast, start your journey back to Nairobi.

• Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, where you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight or further arrangements.
