09:20 AM - Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum
This is where Amir Temur (Tamerlane) and some of his descendants found their final resting place. It is a remarkable building with beautiful handmade decorations from the 15th century.
10:00 AM - Registan Square
This is the place where three unique and prestigious madrasahs are located. These madrasahs were like the famous international universities of the modern world for Asian countries. The madrasahs are Mirzo Ulugh Beg Madrasah (15th century), Sherdor Madrasah (17th century), and Tillakori Madrasah (17th century).
11:20 AM - Bibi-Khanym Mosque
One of the biggest and most famous mosques of the 15th century, it was built by the order of Amir Temur.
12:00 PM - Lunch
You can have lunch in our restaurants or cafés. I can recommend local meals or cuisine from abroad.
01:00 PM - Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis
One of the unique sights of Samarkand, this complex features a group of mausoleums built in different periods. Shah-i-Zinda is often called the "jewel of Samarkand" for its dazzling tilework: turquoise domes, deep blue mosaics, and intricate geometric and floral designs.
Unlike other monuments, Shah-i-Zinda feels like a holy pilgrimage site, where history and spirituality blend.
02:00 PM - Observatory of Mirzo Ulugh Beg
Visiting the Ulugh Beg Observatory is like stepping into a place where the sky once touched the earth, and where science shaped the destiny of civilizations. The observatory stands as a reminder that Samarkand was not only a city of mosques and mausoleums, but also a beacon of science and enlightenment.
Though much of the building was destroyed in later centuries, the underground remains of the giant sextant can still be seen today, giving visitors a glimpse into the brilliance of Timurid science.
03:00 PM - Siab Bazaar
Walking through Siab Bazaar is more than shopping - it is a sensory journey through the spirit of Samarkand, where history, tradition, and everyday life come together. Endless rows of fresh fruits, nuts, oriental spices, and Samarkand's world-famous bread (non) fill the air with delicious scents.
Cultural encounter - local farmers, artisans, and merchants proudly showcase their goods, welcoming visitors with smiles and warm hospitality.
A living Silk Road tradition - just like centuries ago, this is still a place where cultures meet, stories are exchanged, and bargains are struck.
Perfect souvenir stop - from hand-woven textiles and ceramics to dried fruits and sweets, the bazaar offers unique gifts to take home.
