Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Local Shopping
The morning starts with a visit to the Taj Mahal. It will take 1 hour and 30 minutes to visit the Taj Mahal.
The Taj Mahal is an Islamic ivory-white marble mausoleum on the right bank of the River Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.
At 12:00 PM, visit Agra Fort.
We then start the visit to Agra Fort, which will take 2 hours to explore the fort complex.
It was the main residence of the rulers of the Sikarwar clan of Rajputs until the Mughals occupied it, and later served as the main residence of the Mughal dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi.
Post-lunch, enjoy shopping with locals.
