2-Day Five Volcanoes Biking Expedition from Musanze via Twin Lakes

Your trip begins early in the morning from Musanze town, accompanied by your expert guide. The journey leads to the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera in Rwanda's Northern Province, very close to the Virunga chain.

These lakes are referred to as identical lakes because they are interrelated at a point where one lake transfers water into the other. A boat trip can be reserved on the waters of Lakes Burera and Ruhondo for further exploration.

Together, the lakes are reachable in only a 25-minute drive from Musanze City. Overnight stay will be at Virunga Homestay, Muhabura Hotel, or Lake Ruhondo Camp.

You will wake up to a beautiful morning facing the volcano chain, offering excellent opportunities for unlimited photographs, depending on the weather. In clear conditions, you may catch sight of five volcano summits.

After lunch, you will continue your riding journey, with a stop at one of the largest swamplands in Rwanda, Urugezi rwa Nyirantwari. For nature lovers, there may also be a chance to spot a limited number of birds before continuing the journey.
