3-Day Gorilla Safari in Volcanoes National Park with Kigali Tour

Upon arriving at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide, who will take you on a city tour to explore various sites in Kigali. The Kigali city tour includes visits to the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, local art, and a craft market. After the tour, enjoy lunch and then transfer to Ruhengeri in Parc National des Volcans. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Gorilla Solution Lodge, or Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge.

Rise early at 6:30 a.m., have breakfast, and then proceed to the national park headquarters for a briefing before your gorilla trekking adventure. At 8:00 a.m., embark on your hike into the forest with an armed guide, following specific trails in search of your allocated gorilla family. Once you locate the gorillas, spend an awe-inspiring hour with them before returning to your lodge.

In the afternoon, you can choose to enjoy a cultural performance or a nature walk. The time required to encounter the gorillas may vary, ranging from an hour to several hours, depending on their movements in the forest while foraging for food. It's important to note that the park authority allows visitors to spend a maximum of one hour with the gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast and then head to the Ibyawacu Cultural Village, where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in traditional Rwandan culture through engaging experiences such as traditional dances, poems, and demonstrations of traditional dressing. After your cultural visit, return to the lodge for a delicious hot lunch, and then transfer back to Kigali for your return flight.
