Tirana Architecture Bike Tour
- During the tour, in the so-called "The Ring" (Unaza), we will see the most interesting buildings constructed during the time of King Zog by Florentine architects, as well as those from the period of Italian fascism.
- Starting from the Artificial Lake and Rruga Sami Frashëri (marked on the map of Tirana as Bikes for rent/Biçikleta me qera), we will head towards the main boulevard, Dëshmorët e Kombit, where we will see the Academy of Arts and the Polytechnic University, also known as the Rectorate/Archaeological Museum, works realized after the invasion of Albania in 1939.
- From there, our journey continues towards the Palace of Congresses and in front of the former headquarters of the Russian Embassy, today the Presidency.
- We will continue along Dëshmorët e Kombit boulevard, where on the left we will see the Post Block Monument and the famous bunkers, and on the right the Italian Logotenence Offices, today the Prime Minister's Office, as well as the former Enver Hoxha Museum, today the Multimedia Center or Pyramid.
- We then continue over the bridge that holds the record book, and a little further on to the famous former Dajti Hotel.
- Next, we go to the center of Tirana, where we will see the Architectural Ensemble of the Ministries, as well as all the facilities located in Skënderbej Square.
- The journey then continues towards Zog I Boulevard. We will ride to the former train station and make an eclipse-shaped journey to the entrance of the Artificial Lake of Tirana, where we will then follow a tour around the lake built in 1965.
- At the end, we return the rented bikes. The entire trip is more than 10 kilometres, while the greater part passes along the bicycle lane.
