Know before you go

Uhuru Peak is the summit of the mighty Kilimanjaro volcano, first reached on October 5, 1889, by the German Hans Meyer and the Austrian Ludwig Purtscheller. Since then, climbers from around the world have come to Tanzania hoping to repeat the achievement of these two famous mountaineers. Reaching the highest point of Kibo - Uhuru Peak - does not require technical climbing experience or heavy mountaineering equipment, but it does require good physical fitness and endurance.

From a bird's-eye view, seven routes stretch to the foot of Kibo Peak, each with its own characteristics. Only five of them are used for ascent on Kilimanjaro, while Kilimanjaro National Park restricts descent on certain routes, and the Mweka Trail is used only for descent from the summit. No matter which route a climber uses to ascend Kilimanjaro, they will eventually connect with the North and South Circuits of Kibo. This circular trail links all seven routes at an altitude of more than 4 km above sea level. If you are energetic, thirsty for adrenaline, and dream of an unforgettable trip, we will help organize your unforgettable climb to Kilimanjaro.
