Enjoy a 2-day trek to Soputan Volcano, a small stratovolcano on the southern rim of the Quaternary Tondano caldera on the northern arm of Sulawesi Island. This adventure takes you through local plantations, casuarina trees, lava flows, black sand, and rock as you make your way to one of Sulawesi's most active volcanoes. The tour also includes an overnight stay at basecamp and time to relax at Lahendong Hot Spring Water.

Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Transfer to Pinabetengan Village and Trek to Basecamp

After breakfast, pick up from the hotel.
Drive to Pinabetengan Village in the Minahasa Highlands.
Stop for a while at Citraland Residence to see the 2nd tallest Jesus Christ statue in the world.
Continue the trip to Tinoor Village to see Manado City from a high altitude of about 500 m above sea level.
Continue driving for 1 hour 30 minutes to Pinabetengan Village, the starting point.
Start trekking through the local plantation, casuarina trees, and cross the red river.
On arriving at the basecamp, the crew will help put up the tent and prepare dinner.

Stay overnight at the basecamp at an altitude of about 1,500 m above sea level.

Day 02

Summit Trek to Soputan Volcano and Hot Spring Visit

Early in the morning, after breakfast, go trekking to the top of Soputan Volcano.
Cross through the lava flows and climb up the black sand and rock. It will be an unforgettable adventure.
Return to basecamp for lunch.
Visit Lahendong Hot Spring Water to relax.
Return to Pinabetengan Village, from where the driver will take you back to the hotel.
